Taking measurements for stream flow.

It like you are checking out a game of red rover with the beavers.

I'm curious, what tools are you guys using in the video to take measurements? I love the photos of the things you have found in nature, especially the birds nest.

Each of the groups have different tools,  one groups is using stream flow sensors, tribidity to test the quality of the water, PAR - Photosinthetic Active Radiation which checks how much sunlight is reaching into the water at different depths., Disolved oxygen levels, Ph levels and temperature.

Fantastic picture of the group on the beaver dam! I am always amazed at the strength of beaver dams- I mean, it makes sense that they need to be well built to be able to withstand the constant water flow, but I was so surprised the first time I walked across one that it was so sturdy!

I didn't realize that was a beaver dam they were standing on.  That is pretty amazing.  And it does make sense that it needs to be incredibly strong to hold back the water, never put any thought into that.

Also, do you know what kind of eggs are in the photo at the right?

We are pretty sure that they were mallard eggs.
