Welcome! The Adventure Begins!

Good morning Digi-Learners!  The workshop is off to a great start!  Our in-person teachers are getting to know the Boise River Watershed through a mapping exercise.  Look for the lesson plan 'Crumple a Paper Watershed' on the Lesson Plan tab.  They'll hear from U of I MOSS students what ecosystem services means (the benefits that the ecosystem provides to people) and creating an ecological concept map.  After lunch we'll be hearing from climate researchers about how climate change does and will continue to influence our water resources in Idaho.  We'll finish with a tour of the Boise WaterShed Education Center (you can take a virtual tour through our web site: www.BoiseEnvironmentalEducation.org ) before heading to Idaho City's Idaho Center for Outdoor Education camping site.  Look for the first blogs from the in-person teachers at lunchtime!
