We're currently leanring about stormwater from Kim Harrington with the City of CDA. One issue that came up was PCB pollutants and Jamie shared this case study to help teach students what PCBs are and why they're a problem! Check it out!

The folks at the Gathering Garden showed us a great game to demonstrate biomagnification with PCB's and other pollutants. Are we able to get that up on the site as a resource for people who didn't get a hard copy of the game and our digital adventurers?

Here's the game that Adrienne taught us: http://www.dec.ny.gov/education/92158.html

Thank you for the link! Here's some pictures of the game in action - with some sneaky zooplankton!

After checking out the link to the food web game, I thought it included some really great vocabulary, while the structure of the game could be adapted for a variety of grade levels. I have played a similar game with students involving a food web, however I feel like this version is much more applicable in the classroom (or outside). Great activity!

This is a great source! Thank you for posting this. It's always hard coming up with great activities that get students interested, but I think this one will most definitely do that!
